The Zhone OSP10G-5540DCR-ZHO (part number MXK-10GE-SFP+-40KM-1550-IA) is a high-performance, cost-effective SFP+ transceiver module engineered for carrier-grade and enterprise fiber optic deployments. Supporting 10.3125 Gbps in 10GBASE-ER mode and 9.953 Gbps in 10GBASE-EW mode over single-mode optical fiber, this module delivers reliable long-reach connectivity at spans up to 40 km — ideal for metro access, wide-area network interconnects, and data center backbone applications.

The 1550 nm EML (Electro-absorption Modulated Laser) transmitter paired with a PIN photo-detector delivers clean, stable optical signal performance across the full operating span. The LC duplex connector interface integrates easily into existing fiber patch panels and structured cabling systems.
