Overview
The Square D LRD04 is a TeSys Deca differential thermal overload relay engineered to protect motors from overload and phase failure conditions. Designed for direct mounting under TeSys Deca contactors (LC1D09 through LC1D32), the LRD04 delivers reliable motor protection for 1/8 to 1/6 HP applications with a thermal adjustment range of 0.40 to 0.63A and a Class 10A tripping characteristic per IEC 60947-4-1.
The relay features built-in phase unbalance sensitivity — tripping when current on two phases reaches 130% of Ir while the third phase is at zero — safeguarding motors from damaging unbalanced supply conditions. Temperature compensation is rated from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F) without derating, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments.
