Overview
The Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems HBL2711S is a Twist-Lock Safety-Shroud male plug rated 30A, 125/250V AC, 3-pole, 4-wire grounding (NEMA L14-30R). Designed for extra heavy duty industrial applications, this plug features a ribbed nylon composite housing that provides a secure grip with excellent impact and chemical resistance. The integral Safety-Shroud reduces the likelihood of inadvertent contact with blades during connection and disconnection of energized devices, and reduces exposure to arcing when connecting or disconnecting under load.
The HBL2711S accepts cord diameters from 0.350″ to 1.150″ (9–29mm) and accommodates #16 AWG to #8 AWG stranded copper wire. Screw terminals use #10-32 brass hardware with Phillips/Slotted/Robertson drive. Can be mechanically interlocked using Hubbell Cat. No. HBLMITL with a compatible Safety-Shroud Twist-Lock receptacle for Type 1 indoor applications. Complies with California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Electrical Safety Orders, Article 51, Subsection 2510.7(b).
