Overview
The NSI Industries AL4/0N is a dual-rated (AL9CU) compression lug from the AL-N Series, engineered for terminating large 4/0 AWG stranded conductors in high-current electrical applications. Produced from high-conductivity aluminum tubing with an electro-tin plating, this two-hole standard barrel lug provides reliable, corrosion-resistant termination suitable for both aluminum and copper conductors. The lug is pre-filled with oxide inhibitor and sealed with a color-coded white cap for field identification and long-term connection integrity.
With cULus Listing and compliance with UL486A/B, the AL4/0N is approved for 600V service and listed for up to 35kV maximum when properly installed to cable manufacturer specifications — making it well-suited for medium-voltage distribution applications. The chamfered barrel entry and die index markings simplify installation and ensure proper crimp die selection.
